First blockchain summit organized by state is coming

Wednesday, October 3, 2018, Malta will begin a two-day summit focused on cryptocurrencies and blockchain. It will be the first event of a kind organized by the state. This event illustrates the efforts of the Maltese government to promote innovation and provide a regulatory framework for blockchain and digital businessmen.

Malta "Blockchain Island"

Malta is currently the most active member of a group of states of the European Union that seeks to enter and support digital assets and blockchains. The primary focus was the Malta Digital Innovation Authority Bill, the Establishment of Stock Exchange and other Technology Arrangements and Services Bill and ICO (Virtual Financial Assets Bill). What are the expectations of this upcoming summit?

Government officials are expected to present solutions to make Malta a prime destination for businessmen and developers who are heading for a blockchain. This is also highlighted by the words of Parliamentary Secretary for Financial Services, Digital Economy and Innovation, Silvia Schembri, who claims that this island state will be the epicenter of blockchain technology.

One of the invited guests, as well as one of the lecturers, will be the Chief Executive Officer of crypto exchange Binance, Changpeng Zhao. He decided to move his stock last year to Malta. In his tweet hesaid that Malta might be small in terms of size, but it is big in terms of innovation. This European state even called it "Blockchain Island" (island of blockchain).

Participation of the founder of Binance

Other major speakers include Tim Draper, co-founder of Wikipedia and CIO of Everipedia Dr. Larry Sanger, founder of Angel Labs Tugce Ergul, founder and CEO Roger Ver and many others. From topics that are available on the agenda at the official site of the summit, Roger Ver and his lecture on how the digital currencies can change the world, as well as Zha's theme for the future of cryptoms and exchanges, are likely to be the most popular.

According to an official press release, more than 1,500 guests are expected to attend the two-day summit. This makes him one of the biggest events in the cryptosphere. The participation of 4,000 delegates and 150 sponsors is a good guarantee for discussing the issues involved and strengthening professional relationships.  This year's Delta Summit is the culmination of the efforts of the Maltese government to start the blockchain of the revolution, taking into account the right regulatory framework. And that's what makes it an important milestone that can benefit global companies, developers, and industry experts.
